Is Martia open source? Who makes it and what is it built with?

Question from our Discord (anonymized):

Is the project available anywhere publicly, for example on GitHub? And what technologies do you use?

Answer
No, Martia is not open source and we don’t plan to change that — it’s a for-profit project that we hope to sustain ourselves with someday. We’re building it as two people, in our spare time, without investors and without a team: what you see is funded by our own money and free time.

The tech stack, for those curious: website and API in Next.js + React, application (web and mobile) in React Native, servers on Google Cloud in Europe, PostgreSQL database. For bank connections we use an open banking provider (Enable Banking), for categorization and chat — AI models, with most of the work being our own parsers and rules (for example, recognizing Polish shops by transaction description).

We write the code ourselves, with help from AI development tools. The model does simpler things well; for harder problems you have to sit down and think it through yourself.
